My Son, the baseball player; My Daughter, the smoocher.

The kids are in the middle of two athletic firsts:
1) Cade is playing "up" with the 7 and 8 year olds on a machine pitch baseball team. He's doing great and I'm really amazed at how he's acclamated to playing with the older kids
2) Breyden is on her first season of soccer and spends more time chasing the boys than the ball. Her dad even had to tell her to stop kissing the boys during the game. I guess you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.
We've had a busy Spring with family visiting Charlotte. Nanna came to the East Coast for three weeks and spent Easter with most of the Anderson's in Pawleys Island (though we missed Clay, Luke and The Duke). Grandpa Dick even made his way to Charlotte for a bit during his yearly cross-country tour. Then less than a week later, Bubba and Snookie came to see Cade and Breyden do their thing and saw a couple of games.

We have had a WONDERFUL Spring!

SLACKER

I have nothing witty or interesting to say....because if you are reading this, then you know what the past 12 months have involved:

  1. Finding forgiveness

  2. Loving my kids more every day

  3. Surviving a major loss and a minor flood

  4. Landing an amazing job (with the help from an old friend)

  5. Remembering that while I can "do it myself" - I get by with a little help from my friends
Cade is 6, Breyden is 3 and I am a single mom .... which somedays makes me feel 63. But I have family and friends who love and support me and that is all the fountain of youth I need to get me through each day.
